SMBA's four day hitting camps are designed to focus on improving a player's hitting skills through specialized instruction, drills, and repetition.
Players will use hitting machines, batting cages and one on one instruction. We emphasize core techniques, swing mechanics, hitting for power, plate zone identification, using strength building techniques with speed and agility !
Players should wear baseball attire, including hats and cleats, sunscreen and water for hydration.

SMBA Instruction and Drills
We use Hitting Machines!
Our hitting camps provide expert instruction on various aspects of hitting, including grip, stance, balance, stride, swing mechanics, and plate zone hitting. Our hitting camp focuses on improving various aspects of hitting through supervised stations and our batting cages.
Repetition and Practice:
Players will engage in a significant amount of hitting repetitions to refine their techniques and develop muscle memory. We use hitting machines, tee work, soft toss, eye-hand hitting drills as well as the mental approach to the plate!
Skill Development
Our goal is to enhance skills such as hand speed, power speed, agility, and the how to be effective at the plate knowing the situation and the approach. Hitters rotate through a series of supervised stations, including batting cages, each designed to teach a different component of hitting.

Master approach, pitch recognition, strike zone discipline, situational hitting, and bunting.

SMBA Hit Factory camp ends at noon but players in the hitting camp can extend their camp stay til 3pm daily or weekly all summer! You can even order Subway daily or Handel's ice cream on Friday!
We scrimmage after lunch so stay for the fun and the game!

Players can sign up for daily or weekly Subway lunch
Players are greeted by coaching staff by age and level of experience on the field. Players will begin warm ups and strength training for the day
Players will begin instructions on the fundamentals. Each day we work on specific training. for example: Hitting machine, tee work, base running, swing mechanics, strenght training.....
Players Break for a quick snack and hydration
Players will continue instructions on hitting fundamentals and techniques. Each day we work on specific training. for example: Live Hitting, base running, hit selection....

Our team at Santa Monica Baseball Academy consists of professionals who have played and coached baseball at high levels. They bring a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the game. Our coaches are dedicated to helping players improve their skills and gain confidence both on and off the field.

Coach Justin is a former MLB player who coached with SMBA Hit Factory last summer! He was instrumental in elevating and developing players in camp and on our club teams!

Max Price is a former division one shortstop with coaching expertise that focuses on middle infield and hitting. Max began his collegiate career at Cypress College, he then took his talents to Morehead State University, a D1 program in the Ohio Valley Conference, located in Kentucky. Max is excited to bring his coaching and playing exp
